Private pay covers caregiving services that are not covered by private health insurance or public programs such as Medicaid and Medicare. Generally speaking, this means the caregiver will bill you directly for their services and provide receipts. Many older adults use income from stocks and bonds, pensions, or other retirement funds to cover these expenses.
We’re here to help you! We’ll work with your loved ones and their insurance company to figure out what they can cover so that they will be able to stay in the comfort of home.
As you retire, many of us may want to stay in our homes. It’s cheaper and more comfortable than living at a nursing home or assisted-living facility during retirement! If you qualify for Medicaid benefits under that guidelines, they will pay for the services needed while staying at home.
